External Job Description

• Provides various personal caregiving services according to an established plan of care.
• Ensures the personal needs and comfort of clients in their own homes.
• Assists clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepares meals and manages special diets.
• Performs general housekeeping activities.
• Administers medications to clients, following training and delegation by a Nurse, with necessary certifications and current licenses.
• Performs Passive Range of Motion exercises with current credentials and annual CE completion.
• Assists with vital signs for informational purposes only; recording is not required.
• Provides transportation assistance to and from activities.
• Offers compassionate companionship to clients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• HS/GED preferred.
• Caregiver License required (HCA/CNA), renewed annually.
• Ability to meet background requirements of BCCU.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
