External Job Description

• Provides various personal caregiving services according to an established care plan.
• Ensures the personal needs and comfort of clients in their own homes.
• Assists clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepares meals and manages special diets.
• Performs general housekeeping duties.
• Administers medications as trained and delegated by a Nurse, including holding current licenses and certifications.
• Performs Passive Range of Motion exercises with current credentials and completes annual CE requirements.
• Assists with taking vital signs for informational purposes; does not record readings.
• Provides transportation assistance to and from activities.
• Offers compassionate companionship to clients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• HS/GED preferred.
• Caregiver License (HCA/CNA) required, renewed annually.
• Ability to meet BCCU background requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
