Qualifications

• Completed a recognized apprenticeship or dealership-approved training program.
• City & Guilds qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience in diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing motor vehicles.
• Manufacturer training experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of safe manual handling practices.
• Organized, methodical problem-solving approach.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Undertake ongoing training to maintain best practices and technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Complete all work efficiently within manufacturer-recommended or foreman-approved timeframes.
• Diagnose and report vehicle faults and identify current and future servicing or repair requirements.
• Accurately record all work completed, including parts, components, lubricants, and consumables used.
• Read, understand, and apply technical service instructions and updated working practices.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimize unnecessary customer costs.
• Protect customer vehicles using appropriate covers, dust sheets, and cleaning consumables
• Always maintain vehicle security, including locking vehicles when unattended.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and report on condition, serviceability, and safety.
• Clearly explain technical repairs to customers when required.
