Job summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to support a Division I men's basketball program at Temple University. This full-time opportunity is based at 511 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA, with a schedule covering weekdays and weekends in a typical collegiate ATC setting.

Compensation ranges from $66,000 to $95,000 annually, based on experience, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The role includes mentorship, CEU opportunities, PTO, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree, NATA-BOC certification, CPR certification, and an applicable state license.
• 1 year of athletic training experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
• Administer athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to reduce injury risk.
• Record athlete progress and adjust plans of care accordingly.
• Manage emergencies and coordinate EMS and acute care procedures as needed.
• Seek outreach opportunities and promote the company at events.

This outreach position is a full-time opportunity at the university and is available 12 months per year. We offer qualified candidates the opportunity to develop their skills while working alongside an outstanding Sports Medicine team that includes Athletic Trainers, Sports Physical Therapists, Strength & Conditioning Coaches, and Sports Medicine Physicians, all on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation


• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)


• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care


• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.


• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree


• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification


• CPR certification


• Applicable state license where required


• 1 Year of Athletic Training experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree


• 3 Years of Athletic Training experience
