Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute is seeking a highly motivated full‑time Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to support the POTFF program for U.S. Special Operations Command.

The ATC will provide injury prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, and performance optimization for SOF personnel and Direct Combat Support staff, while collaborating with program leadership and medical personnel. Responsibilities include documentation in military EHR, equipment design, fiscal planning, and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training is required.
• Current NATABOC certification is required.
• CSCS certification or ability to obtain within the first year is required.
• At least five years of demonstrable experience as an ATC with athletes, including SOF environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide injury prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement services within ATC scope.
• Design and fabricate protective equipment to prevent injuries.
• Advise HP program leadership on clinical matters and participate in program meetings.
• Document care in Military EHR and related databases (GENESIS, SPEAR).
• Collaborate to improve patient care and ensure compliance with clinical guidelines.
