Job summary

Select Physical Therapy in Tampa seeks a dedicated Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to service contracted schools and coordinate access to healthcare for athletes. The role supports our Tampa, FL market and offers a PRN schedule with hours varying as needed.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor of Science, NATA-BOC certification, CPR certification, and an active state license where required. Master’s degree preferred and opportunities for growth exist within the nationwide network.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement therapeutic programs for injured athletes.
• Determine and administer athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to reduce injury risk.
• Assess and record athlete responses to rehabilitation and adjust plans of care.
• Manage emergency incidents and coordinate EMS and acute care procedures.
• Seek outreach opportunities and promote the company at events.

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. This position will be supporting our Tampa, FL market!

Starting at $35/hr, commensurate with experience

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
• CPR certification
• Applicable state license where required
