Select Physical Therapy in Lafayette, IN is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to care for athletes at contracted schools and professional teams. The role coordinates access to health care for athletes and supports local high schools and community events in the greater Lafayette area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.
• NATA-BOC Board of Certification.
• CPR certification.
• Applicable state license where required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation.
• Determine need for and administer athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to reduce injury risk.
• Assess and record effectiveness of training/rehabilitation techniques.
• Manage emergency incidents and coordinate EMS and acute care procedures.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in community events to promote the company.

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and/or professional teams and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. This position will be supporting local high schools and various community events in/around the greater Lafayette, IN area.

Location: Lafayette, IN

Type of Employment: PRN/Per Diem

Schedule: Hours Vary as needed

Compensation: $35/hr

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation


• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)


• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care


• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.


• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification


• CPR certification


• Applicable state license where required
