Job summary

HealthWorks is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to serve contracted schools in and around Morgantown, WV. This PRN position offers flexibility, weekday and weekend coverage, and starting compensation of $35/hr based on experience.

You will provide athletic training services, coordinate access to healthcare for athletes, and develop rehabilitation programs tailored to individual athletes while supporting on-site emergency procedures when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree is required.
• NATA-BOC Certification is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Applicable state license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for contracted student-athletes as an Athletic Trainer.
• Coordinate access to additional health care for athletes.
• Support market coverage in Morgantown, WV, scheduling around availability.

HealthWorks is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. This position will be supporting Market Coverage in/around Morgantown, WV. We’ll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you.

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures, including basic life support, to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
• CPR certification
• Applicable state license where required
