Select Physical Therapy in Lafayette, IN seeks a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for student-athletes and coordinate access to medical services for contracted schools and teams.

This PRN/per diem position offers a $35/hr wage with varied hours, on-site work around local high schools and community events, and opportunities to design rehabilitation programs and lead outreach efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree is required.
• NATA-BOC Board of Certification is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Applicable state license where required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation.
• Determine need for athletic training techniques before and during games/practices.
• Record changes as indicated by athlete response within the plan of care.
• Manage emergency incidents and coordinate EMS/acute care procedures.

Overview

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes. In this role, you will service contracted schools and/or professional teams and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. This position will be supporting local high schools and various community events in/around the greater Lafayette, IN area.

Location and Employment Type

Location: Lafayette, IN

Type of Employment: PRN/Per Diem

Schedule: Hours vary as needed

Compensation: $35/hr

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
• CPR certification
• Applicable state license where required
