Job summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate PRN Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care in/around Coon Rapids, MN. In this role, you will coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes/patients at a local high school.

The position requires a B.S. in a related field, NATA certification, CPR, and applicable state licensure; a Master’s degree is preferred. Schedule varies; compensation is $27.00 per hour with PRN benefits.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation.
• Administer athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to reduce injury risk.
• Assess and record athlete responses; adjust care within the planned course of treatment.
• Manage emergency incidents and coordinate EMS and acute care as needed.
• Promote NovaCare Rehabilitation through outreach events and community involvement.

Type of Employment: PerDiem/PRN

Schedule: Hours Vary as needed

• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications
