Job Summary

The Industrial Athletic Trainer will plan, coordinate, and supervise injury management and health improvement programs for employees, focusing on injury prevention, ergonomic assessments, OSHA emergency/first aid, health education, and wellness promotion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wellness assessments and ergonomic risk analyses
• Develop and implement wellness initiatives
• Design ergonomic interventions using innovative solutions
• Provide first-aid and manage musculoskeletal complaints
• Assess orthopedic injuries and participate in injury prevention education
• Coordinate treatment plans including therapeutic exercises
• Handle administrative tasks and data analysis
• Foster a trustful environment to reduce injuries
• Communicate with safety personnel and advocate for injured workers
• Attend meetings and contribute to newsletters and intranet content
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Board of Certification (BOC) certification
• State licensure/certification
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• Willingness to travel
• Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills

• Minimum of two years of athletic training experience
• Knowledge of OSHA and workers’ compensation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience in ergonomics or occupational health
• CEAS/OSHA10 certification
