The role you’ll contribute:

The Certified Athletic Trainer – Outreach is a healthcare professional specializing in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries and illnesses. Provides quality evidence-based athletic health services, develops and implements comprehensive health care programs, and builds strategic relationships with physicians, staff, athletic trainers, athletic directors, athletes, and parents. Fulfills contractual medical requirements, emphasizes off-site assessment, promotes Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation services, and supports quality improvement initiatives. May supervise other athletic trainers, students, volunteers, and interns. Availability outside normal hours may be required to support athletic teams and athletes. Adheres to compliance and regulatory standards, and participates in customer service and relationship management.

• Performs assessments, clinical evaluations, emergency care, and rehabilitation for athletic events, including coverage at ESPN Wide World of Sports. Availability outside normal hours is expected. Supports multiple teams/programs with schedule flexibility.
• Maintains accurate medical records, complies with billing and coding standards, and follows medication regulations. Collaborates on policies and procedures.
• Supports performance improvement activities and quality standards.
• Acts as liaison to facilitate resolution of service or operational issues with physicians, hospital staff, and partners.
