Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer/DME Coordinator to work across our clinics in Chicago near the Illinois Medical District and in the Galewood neighborhood. The role involves measuring, fitting, educating, and maintaining inventory of braces and devices for surgical and non-surgical patients. The DME Coordinator acts as a key contact for patients, staff, physicians, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Measure and fit orthopaedic braces and devices.
• Educate patients on orthopaedic products.
• Order products and manage DME inventory.
• Verify patient benefits and handle pre-certifications.
• Recommend orthopaedic products to walk-in patients.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, vendors regarding product issues.
• Maintain licensure and certifications per Illinois state laws and professional standards.
• Perform special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related health field.
• Certified Athletic Trainer.
• Orthotic Fitter Certification preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in an orthopedic or medical setting preferred.
