Job Title: Athletic Trainer

Location: Idaho Air National Guard, Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho

Position Timing: Immediate hire upon Contract Award and completion of all background and security investigations. Candidates must be willing to sign a Letter of Intent for submission with their resume.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide services for the 124th Operations Group (OG), 124TH Fighter Wing (FW) at Gowen Field Airbase in Boise, Idaho.
2. Hours will generally be 0800-1600 during regular weeks, and 1200-2000 during “night flying” weeks as defined by the Idaho Air National Guard Calendar, not exceeding 80 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Athletic Trainer (OATA) and NATA-certified.
• Degree in Athletic Training from a NATA-accredited institution (no substitutions).
• Minimum 4 years’ experience with professional/collegiate athletes preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an orthopedic outpatient PT clinic preferred.
• Experience working with workers’ compensation employees under supervision of a Licensed Physician or Physical Therapist.
• Experience with military pilots, elite athletes, or Special Forces personnel, especially programs related to human weapon systems or neck/back issues similar to fighter aircrew.
• Strongly preferred: experience with combat injuries and fighter aircrew.

Education

• Bachelor’s in Athletic Training and/or Physical Therapy, or equivalent; NATA Member (if Athletic Trainer), ATC and PT License, CPR/AED certification, ongoing continuing education.
