Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• National Athletic Trainers Association BOC certification and Illinois licensure or eligible
• Strong background in functional rehabilitation desired
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Assess initial injuries to athletes
• Rehabilitate athletic injuries
• Report progress to coaches
• Collaborate with physicians on recovery
• Notify parents when significant injuries occur and advise care
• Coordinate return-to-play communications with parents and coaches
• Manage athletic training room budget and inventory
• Administer and maintain Impact testing for students
• Support conditioning and fitness plans for athletes
• Counsel athletes on nutrition and hygiene
• Assist in safety inspections of athletic facilities
• Assist in certifying CPR/AED for coaches
• Coordinate AED placement in facilities
• Implement student athletic trainer program
• Additional duties as assigned by Athletic Director
