Job description

MSAD 52 is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Athletic Trainer who is responsible for all athletic training services associated with Leavitt Area High School Athletic Department and provide consultation services to Tripp Middle School Athletic Department.

The qualified candidate will have a minimum one year clinical experience, their National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Certification and a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and help educate the coaching staff about best practices to reduce injury through awareness, education and prevention strategies. The ideal candidate will also provide onsite care and management of injuries and illnesses including: prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation in accordance with school policies and applicable laws and regulations, including reporting and documentation requirements. The candidate also will help to develop and manage the athletic training room, the athletic training budgets and policies to maintain optimal health, safety and welfare of all constituents; develop and maintain all department health guidelines, policies, and procedures in accordance with National/International best practices and consensus statements; and coordinate medical coverage of the high school’s athletic events and practices.

Full-time, year-round position.

CHRC Certification required.
