Job summary

Valle Vista Health System in Greenwood, IN seeks a Certified Art Therapist to plan and implement activity services within assigned programs. You will work as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, defining treatment goals and providing continuous patient care, observation and role modeling to patients.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a social service or therapeutic field, AT-BC certification, and at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, education, criminal justice, or related field.
• AT-BC certification required.
• Minimum 1 year related psychiatric/substance use disorder client care experience; proficient with MS Office.
• Experience with group facilitation preferred.

Position Summary

The Certified Art Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing activity services for assigned programs, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction and role modeling to patients.

Requirements

• Education/Licensure: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, education, criminal justice or other social service or therapeutic discipline.
• Certification: Must have an AT-BC certification (Art Therapist Board Certified).
• Experience: One (1) year related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric and/or substance use disorder patient care techniques. Proficiency utilizing office systems such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred Requirements: Experience with group facilitation or education.
