Qualifications

• Certification as an Activity Director or licensed/registered status is required.
• Experience in long-term care and in social/recreational programs is expected.

Responsibilities

• Develops and delivers activity/recreational programming to promote resident engagement.
• Completes admissions-specific activity sections and attends Care Plan Meetings.
• Maintains monthly activity calendars and updates community on programs.
• Identifies resident activity preferences and documents activity participation.
• Plans community activities involving staff, families and residents.
• Ensures physician approval and maintains safety and consent records.
