Montclair Elementary School in DeKalb County, Georgia, is seeking an Academic Skills Center Tutor - Certified to support students working through unfinished learning. The role offers $35 per hour and requires a Georgia PSC-approved Bachelor's degree for certification.

The tutor will provide targeted tutoring in small groups, collaborate with the ASC team and families, track student progress, and participate in professional learning sessions.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree from Georgia PSC approved college/university required for Certified Tutor.
• High school diploma or GED required for Non-Certified Tutor; minimum three years experience with children.

Mansioni

• Provides tutoring support to small groups of students assigned to the Academic Skills Centers.
• Collaborates with the Lead ASC Tutor, staff, volunteers, and Assistant Principal to identify resources and strategies.
• Helps students set goals and monitor progress toward achieving them.
• Guides students with appropriate learning activities and supports.
• Monitors behavior to create a safe learning environment.
• Models appropriate social and interpersonal behavior for students.
• Prepares written materials and maintains data documenting student progress.
• Communicates with educators and families about student progress.
• Participates in Professional Learning sessions as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
