University of Southern California is seeking an AC Technician Module A to perform standard air conditioning, refrigeration and heating system maintenance. The role requires completing a four-year apprenticeship, EPA Universal certification, and at least two years in related trades.

You will inspect, repair, and install components, work from blueprints, and train other technicians. A CA driver’s license and DMV Pull Notice compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of four-year apprenticeship program.
• A combined total of at least 2years of Experience performing standard trade-related tasks.
• Valid Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) - Universal certification.
• General knowledge of trade-related methods, materials, tools and equipment.
• Experience in identifying Systems and/or mechanical problems.
• General knowledge of engineering procedures, equipment and systems.
• Familiar with city and state building codes, OSHA rules and regulations, standard safety practices and equipment and other requirements for workplace safety.
• Valid CA driver's license required with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• Position will be participating in the DMV Pull Notice System.
• A copy of DMV record will be required as a final condition of employment.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine safety and maintenance checks on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies regarding air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems.
• Prepare reports and maintenance records; train other journeymen and technicians.
• Install and fabricate components for systems and equipment as required.
• Maintain clean and safe job sites during and after work.
