Job summary

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination.
• Ability to use lab equipment to test, calibrate, and certify instruments.

Responsibilities

• Plans sequence of testing and certification procedures for instruments and equipment.
• Sets up standard and special lab equipment to test, evaluate, and certify devices.
• Inputs data and uses data acquisition systems for checks and data collection.
• Disassembles instruments and inspects components for defects.
• Measures parts for conformity with specifications.
• Aligns, repairs, replaces, and balances component parts.
• Reassembles and certifies instruments and equipment.
• Assists engineers in formulating test plans and calibration procedures.
• Participates in internal audit activities as needed.
