Job summary

Humanetics-Group seeks a lab technician to perform dynamic and static tests on crash test instruments and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. The role includes setting up testing equipment, collecting data, inspecting components, and assisting engineers in calibration and evaluation plans.

The candidate should have a one-year certificate or equivalent, with 3–6 months of related experience, and work in the 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) at our Ohio lab.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school.
• Three to six months related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans sequence of testing and certification procedures for instruments and equipment.
• Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and certify other instruments and test equipment.
• Input data information and utilize data acquisition systems to perform system checks and data collection for ATDs.
• Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.
• Measures parts for conformity with specifications.
• Aligns, repairs, replaces, and balances component parts.
• Reassembles and certifies instruments and equipment.
• Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.
• May be required to participate in a Company’s internal audit system as an internal auditor.
• Other duties as assigned

2nd Shift 2:00PM-10:30PM

Role Purpose

Performs dynamic and static tests in accordance to government regulations, regulatory body specifications and manufacturing requirements. Dynamic tests are performed using free falling impact probes, accelerometers, load cells, displacement transducers and PC based data acquisition systems. Repairs electrical, mechanical, electromechanical equipment for conformance to established standards, and assists in formulating testing and work standards.
