Job summary

Honeywell seeks a Certification Engineer I within the Global Regulatory Team to support certification for new products, ensuring compliance with global standards. The role requires a BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science and at least 1 year of product development or lab experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in relevant engineering or CS field.
  • At least 1 year of experience with new product development or in an electrical/electronic testing lab.
  • Ability to analyze requirements and manage product compliance from application to approval.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: prioritize, identify root causes and take corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of product certification and regulatory compliance projects.
  • Coordinate certification activities with engineering, quality, manufacturing, suppliers, and third-party testing agencies.
  • Review product designs, specifications, and changes to identify applicable regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Develop and maintain certification project plans, timelines, and status reports to ensure on-time completion.
  • Prepare, organize, and submit technical documentation required for regulatory approvals and certifications.
  • Assist in audits, inspections, and interactions with external regulatory agencies and certification bodies.
  • Monitor changes to industry standards and regulations and assess potential impacts on existing and new products.
  • Support risk assessments and compliance evaluations throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for certification processes, testing methods, and project execution.

The HBT Regulatory Team has an immediate opportunity for a CertificationEngineerwithin our Global Regulatory Team. The preferred candidate will be highly motivated with demonstrated initiative, and is willing to learn and understanding of product compliance methodologies within a regulated global environment.

As a Certification Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for supporting the certification process for new products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will assist in developing and implementing certification strategies and plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful certification. Staying updated with industry trends and regulations related to product certification will be crucial in this role. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and support to the team.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • At least 1 year of experience with new product development or in an electrical/electronic testing laboratory.
  • Capability to analyze requirements & manage product compliance from application to approval.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: prioritize, identify root causes & take corrective actions.

The salary range for this position is ($72,700 - $90,850). Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
