Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is seeking a Certification Clerk to issue and review customer shipment certifications and to maintain quality certificates. You will handle documentation, data packs, and cross-train to support back-up responsibilities, while aligning with ITAR controls.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience and a GED or HS diploma; strong MS Office and Excel skills are expected. Basic data filing and audit support are included in duties.

Job description

Position Summary

Certification clerk issues certifications for customer shipments, lot number, heat treatment data, material certs, independent testing of heat treat process, retrieve process certifications and match with relevant shipments. The Certification Clerk stores the receiving inspection documents using computer software, ERP system/doc database, following procedures and certification codes.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Issue, review and maintain production and supplier quality certifications, as required.
  • Review quality certifications against purchase order, drawing and specification requirements for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist and/or prepare data packs for any products as necessary.
  • Priority will be established by the Quality Manager, Quality Engineers, or Operations. This responsibility may include working with buyers and program managers.
  • Scan and file documents including supplier certs daily as necessary.
  • Update Quality document logs, as required.
  • Assist in and/or documentation of quality requirements.
  • Assist in quality systems processes including internal audits (training will be provided.).
  • Cross-train with facility administrator to provide back-up responsibilities as needed.
  • Assisting in department projects
  • Ordering department supplies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $18.00 to $30.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
