Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the New Orleans Point Job Corps Center in New Orleans, LA. We seek an Instructor, Certified Nurse Assistant (RN) for a full-time schedule to guide students toward academic and trade goals.

The role requires RN licensure in Louisiana with relevant teaching or supervision experience and the ability to use the LMS (Blackboard) to post materials, assignments, and track progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and certificate in area of instruction.
• Licensed registered nurse (RN) in Louisiana with two years related experience and experience instructing or supervising.
• A valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide career technical training instruction and guidance in designated areas.
• Demonstrate proficiency with the LMS (e.g., Blackboard) to post materials and monitor progress.
• Motivate and counsel students; coordinate with staff to resolve training issues.
• Develop and prepare lessons; suggest curricula changes and supplemental materials.
• Uset workplace language and behavior expectations in shop/classroom; assist as needed.
• Review areas for contractual compliance and prepare related reports.
• Participate in student evaluation panels and document evaluations in CIS.

What you will be doing:

You’ll be responsible for the academic and career technical trade instruction per approved curricula. They will provide training and basic guidance and direction to help students achieve their academic and trade goals.

Essential functions:

1. Provide students with career technical training instruction, direction and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
2. Demonstrate proficiency in and consistent use of the designated Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard) to post instructional materials, facilitate assignments and assessments, and monitor student progress.
3. Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems or study habits; coordinate with other staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training.
4. Develop and prepare lessons; recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
5. Utilize workplace language and behavior expectations in the shop and classroom; on a routine basis, inquire if individual students need assistance.
6. Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
7. Participate in student evaluation panels; prepare required documentation and evaluations using CIS as well as other systems of documentation. Enter case notes into the CIS systems as required and in accordance with established timelines.

Education and Experience Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent and certificate in area of instruction.
2. Licensed registered nurse (RN) in Louisiana, two (2) years related work experience, and experience instructing or supervising in a professional environment.
3. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
