Job Description

A Cerner RIS (Radiology Information System) and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining these critical systems in a healthcare setting. Key responsibilities include:

• System Management: Oversee daily operation and maintenance of RIS and PACS systems, ensuring smooth and efficient performance.

• Data Management: Handle data archiving, storage, and retrieval, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Good understanding of HL7 and preferably FHIR. Prior knowledge of PDF image linking with HL7.

• User Support: Provide support and training to healthcare staff on using RIS and PACS systems effectively. Coordinate with integration analysts to pass system requirements for RAD and PACS workflow.

• System Integration: Manage integration of RIS and PACS with other hospital information systems, troubleshooting issues. Thorough understanding of Cerner Radnet Module. Basic understanding of Cerner Powerchart and HL7 data flow.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy and quality of imaging data and reports.

• System Upgrades: Perform regular system upgrades and updates to maintain performance.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Experience with clinical Cerner tools such as Cerner Radnet, Cerner Powerchart, and basic FSI tools.

• Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, life sciences, or related field. Typically 2-4 years of experience in a similar role. Experience with RIS and PACS systems, preferably in healthcare.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data management, excellent communication skills.
