Job summary

CoorsTek is seeking a Materials Process Operator to transform raw materials into high-quality ceramic powders used in finished goods. You will operate manual and basic automated equipment, perform start-ups and shutdowns, and ensure process continuity across shifts with a strong focus on safety.

The role requires adherence to EHS procedures, ability to follow detailed work instructions, and basic mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic reading and math skills required.
• Must meet all training requirements defined by department.
• 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures; identify opportunities for safety improvements.
• Performs startups, shutdowns and product mix changes across standardized production processes with manual and basic automation components.
• Identify technical problems and implement routine or directed solutions.
• Follows documented and scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Follow routine work instructions and product mix specifications; may encounter special instructions in preparation of ceramic material.
• Learns and applies manufacturing principles and best practices to complete work efficiently.
• Work closely with other operators to share information for production continuity across shifts.
• Perform in-process quality testing for assigned process area.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move material within the facility.
• Maintain workspace cleanliness and 6S practices.
• Assist in tracking inventory, supplies, and raw materials.
