Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic reading and math skills required.
• Must meet all training requirements as defined by department.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures as required. Identify opportunities for safety improvements.
• Performs startups, shutdowns and product mix changes across standardized production processes with manual and basic automation components
• Identify technical problems and implement routine or directed solutions
• Follows documented and scheduled maintenance procedures
• Follow routine and repeatable work instructions and product mix specifications and may encounter special instructions in the preparation of ceramic material.
• Learns and applies manufacturing principles and best practices as the method to most effectively complete their work.
• Work closely with other operators to share information for production continuity between shifts, process steps or departments
• Perform in-process quality testing for assigned process area
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move material to and from locations within the facility.
• Maintain workspace cleanliness and follow appropriate 6S practices.
• Assist in accurately tracking all inventory, supplies, and raw materials.
