Job summary

Diverzify is seeking a Project Manager to oversee industrial flooring projects from start to finish, coordinating labor, materials, and equipment across all phases. You will enforce specifications and quality while proactively managing schedules and budgets to ensure timely completion.

The role requires 5+ years in flooring project management, strong ability to read blueprints, and excellent coordination with clients and crews. Excellent communication and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in flooring installation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and layouts.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong mathematical skills for product calculations and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between clients, company, and crew; run the job daily and assist the sales team with modifications to ensure profitability.
• Communicate with mills and distributors to determine product availability, track materials, and confirm equipment on-site before crew arrival.
• Oversee performance to ensure specifications and regulations are followed.
• Administer installation contracts and monitor schedule and costs to meet time and budget.
• Report progress to Sales and Corporate Management and propose plan modifications.
• Coordinate job schedules with client, general contractor, and Field Supervisor.
• Meet project deadlines with urgency and flexibility for changing schedules.
• Follow up with suppliers and manage multiple shipments for complex jobs.
• Arrange freight for shipments in cost-effective ways.
• Communicate during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Coordinate change orders in writing and track changes for proper billing.
• Monitor installations for schedule adherence and quality.
• Review installer bills for accuracy and approve payments.
• Maintain job folders and documentation; prepare invoicing packages.
• Prepare cost estimates for repairs when punch lists arise.
• Review invoices and assign charges to primary installers.

Job Summary

At Diverzify+ and our Family of Brands, our Project Manager is responsible for comprehensive oversight of the entire project lifecycle for industrial flooring projects, ensuring seamless coordination of labor, materials, and equipment across all phases. They enforce strict adherence to project specifications and quality standards while proactively managing schedules and budgets to guarantee timely and cost-effective project completion. Through effective leadership and continuous monitoring, the PM drives operational efficiency, mitigates risks, and ensures client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between clients, company, and crew and run the job daily and assist the sales team with all necessary modifications to ensure projects remain profitable.
• Communicate with mills and distributors to determine the availability of products, track materials for jobs, and confirm all needed equipment is on-site prior to crew arrival.
• Oversee performance to make sure all specifications and regulations are being followed.
• Responsible for the proper administration of installation contracts.
• Track and control schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within the time and budget allocated.
• Report to the Sales and Corporate Management team about progress and any necessary plan modifications.
• Communicate job schedules to coordinate with the client, the general contractor, and/or Field Supervisor
• Determine steps necessary to meet project deadlines. Respond with urgency and flexibility to meet frequently changing project schedules.
• Perform consistent, timely follow-up with suppliers, tracing as many as thirty separate shipments of items depending on the complexity of the job.
• Make freight arrangements for product shipments in the most expeditious and cost-effective manner.
• Follow-up is essential, including evening and weekend contact as needed.
• Coordinate all change orders in writing and track changes to ensure proper completion and billing
• Monitor installations for meeting schedules and quality standards
• Approve installation bills. Review and evaluate all installer bills for accuracy
• Maintain required documentation in job folders and on the computer system to support the projects. Assemble all information relating to the projects.
• Prepare job folder for invoicing. Review for extras and change orders, determine freight charges, verify accuracy, and submit to Accounts Receivable.
• Receive punch list and repair calls. Determine responsibility for repairs. Prepare cost estimates if necessary.
• Review invoices and charge back to primary installers accordingly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in Flooring Installation.
• High School Diploma/GED.

• Knowledge of installation procedures/flooring products.
• Ability to travel to job sites.
