Job summary

CTS Corporation in Lisle, IL is seeking a Process Engineer for the Ceramic business. You will make technical decisions on ceramic machining and provide direction to a team, aiming to improve yield, reduce scrap, and optimize cycle time.

You will use DOE, DMAIC, SPC, Cp/Cpk analyses and lead equipment qualification, validation, and capital projects. The role requires hands-on leadership, troubleshooting, and collaboration with NPI to introduce new products.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and process improvement methods.
• Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and implement them.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
• Ability to interact with engineers, operators, and management.

Responsibilities

• Improve yield, reduce scrap, shorten cycle time, and lower costs.
• Apply DOE, DMAIC and statistical methods to drive improvements.
• Monitor process with SPC, Cp/Cpk and data-driven decisions.
• Lead equipment qualification, validation, and capital projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor technicians.
• Support ISO 9001 compliance and internal audits.
