Job summary

FirstCarbon Solutions in Irvine, CA seeks an Environmental Analyst to support CEQA and NEPA projects through research, data analysis, and drafting of environmental documents. You’ll collaborate with biologists, planners, and engineers to ensure accurate impact assessments and compliance.

The role emphasizes strong technical writing, meticulous data handling, and professional communication with agencies, sub-consultants, and project managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Planning, Geography, Biology, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of professional experience OR formal education in related field inclusive of technical writing.
• Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise text.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analyze data on environmental topics to support CEQA/NEPA reviews.
• Draft sections of environmental documents (Initial Studies, EIRs/EISs, Addenda, Exemptions).
• Review site plans and technical studies to support impact analysis.
• Coordinate with internal experts and external agencies to verify data and integrate findings.
• Perform site visits and support documentation formatting and quality control.
