Job summary

Olympic Medical Center in Washington’s North Olympic Peninsula is seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist I to support patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, and metabolic conditions and healthy individuals to improve quality of life.

The CEP I conducts pre-participation health screening and initial exercise assessments, performs tests of endurance, strength, balance, and range of motion, and educates clients on program components and self-care for chronic disease.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field required.
• Experience teaching/exercise education in cardiopulmonary programs preferred.
• BLS within 30 days of hire; ACLS within 90 days of hire; ACSM EP-C/CEP/RCEP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-participation health screening and initial exercise assessments.
• Administers programs to enhance aerobic endurance, cardiovascular function, muscular strength and endurance, balance and range of motion.
• Educates clients about testing, exercise program components and self-care for chronic disease management.
