Job summary

Emporia Regional Development Association of East Central Kansas, Inc. (RDA) seeks a visionary CEO/President to guide economic growth, business expansion, and community partnerships for Emporia and Lyon County.

The role reports to the Board and leads strategies to create jobs, grow population and income, and stabilize the tax base. The successful candidate will drive a working executive team, manage budgets, secure funding, and collaborate with partners such as Kansas Dept.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of senior leadership in economic development or related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive responsibility in economic development.
• Bachelor's degree; CEcD/EDFP designation a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic goals aligned with the RDA mission.
• Lead economic development efforts to attract and retain business.
• Build partnerships with government, industry, and educational institutions.
• Oversee budgeting, finance, and reporting to the Board.
• Represent RDA at state, regional, and national events.
• Recruit and lead staff with a results-oriented approach.
