Job summary

Midwest Orthopaedic Center, based in Peoria, IL, seeks a dynamic Chief Executive Officer to guide the practice through growth and clinical excellence. The incoming leader will inherit a stable, high-performing organization and will shape strategy with physician leadership.

The role emphasizes profitability of ancillary service lines, partnership development, and strong community engagement within the Peoria medical community.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA) or MBA.
• Minimum 5 years of senior executive leadership in a large physician practice.
• Proven ability to optimize profitable ancillary service lines (e.g., physical therapy and advanced imaging).

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: develop and execute long-term plans with physician board to sustain independence and growth.
• Operational Excellence: oversee daily operations of clinical and ancillary departments ensuring efficiency and patient experience.
• Financial Management: manage revenue cycle, budgeting, forecasting, negotiations with payers, and capital planning for a multi-million-dollar enterprise.
• Hospital Relations: liaison with two major regional hospital systems on coverage, co-management, and collaborations across four facilities.
• Provider Relations & Recruitment: support retention and onboarding of top orthopedic surgeons and advanced practice providers.
• Team Development: mentor executive team and staff to maintain a high-retention culture.
