Job summary

The Endowment for Health seeks a President to lead as the chief executive in Concord, NH. You will shape strategy, oversee grantmaking across six initiatives, manage assets, and advance health equity in the Granite State. Your leadership will align with a strong plan and a capable eight-person staff, under Board stewardship.

You will engage diverse stakeholders, cultivate partnerships, and represent the foundation publicly to strengthen credibility and impact in New Hampshire and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, operations, and mission delivery with Board and staff.
• Oversee next strategic planning cycle to sharpen theory of change and health equity leadership.
• Ensure governance, compliance, and transparent reporting to Board and community.
• Steward $107M in assets with fiduciary judgment with Board and Investment/Finance committees.
• Evaluate opportunities for endowment growth and impact investing with proper governance.
• Manage annual budget and spending policy, including distributions when needed.
• Oversee grantmaking across six initiatives: Early Childhood, Children's Behavioral Health, Healthy Aging, Health Equity, Health Policy, Forward Fund.
• Advance measurable progress toward health equity through investments and programs.
• Represent Endowment externally; build partnerships with government, nonprofits, health systems, and philanthropy.
• Lead external relations, convene stakeholders, and advocate for health equity and trusted leadership.
• Develop the resource base through partnerships and co-funding, expanding community impact.
• Oversee communications to clearly convey values and impact; position as a thought leader in NH health.
