Job summary

Openkrill is seeking a commercially minded Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next stage of development for a Direct to Consumer ecommerce business. This is a high-impact role combining strategic vision with hands-on execution, working closely with the Board, founders and senior leadership to set direction and drive sustainable growth.

You will own the full business, including strategy, growth, governance and budgets, while building a strong leadership team and scalable

Qualifications

• Experience leading a growing ecommerce business, ideally a DTC/subscription model.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to turn strategy into measurable results.
• Proven ability to manage P&L and lead senior teams through growth or change.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement with board, founders and investors.
• Data-driven decision making and deep understanding of customers and markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the company's strategy, vision and long-term growth plan.
• Lead overall business performance, commercial growth and operational execution.
• Build relationships with partners, investors and key stakeholders.
• Set objectives, performance measures and accountability across the organisation.
• Inspire and develop a high-performing senior leadership team.
• Strengthen structure, processes and governance as the business scales.
• Oversee budgets, forecasting, financial performance and resource allocation.
• Use customer and commercial data to guide growth, retention and LTV decisions.
• Identify new markets, partnerships, products and commercial opportunities.
• Ensure focus on customer experience, quality and innovation.
• Collaborate with the Board on planning, risk management and strategic decisions.
