Job summary

Dwelling Place in West Michigan seeks a visionary CEO to lead our region's premier nonprofit housing organization. You will partner with an engaged Board, a dedicated leadership team, and staff to advance affordable housing, community vitality, and sustainable growth.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive nonprofit leadership, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong governance, fundraising, and strategic execution skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit/housing/real estate or related fields.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience leading strategy, governance, and financial health.
Ability to engage with boards, donors, and community leaders.
Strong management and risk oversight.

Responsibilities

Champion mission and values of Dwelling Place through visionary leadership.
Lead execution of strategic plan prioritizing stability and financial health.
Partner with Board to set priorities and ensure governance.
Inspire and develop a high-performing executive leadership team.
Navigate local community dynamics and act as ambassador with stakeholders.
Ensure long-term financial sustainability and diversified funding.
Oversee planning, acquisition, development, and management of real estate initiatives.
Ensure compliance and strong risk management.
Analyze market trends and policy landscape affecting affordable housing.
