Job summary

Handex Consulting & Remediation, LLC is seeking a Field Centrifuge Operator to support industrial dewatering and solids processing at client sites across the U.S. This role involves operating centrifuges, following supervisor directions, and ensuring safe, efficient project execution.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of centrifuge experience, willingness to travel to remote sites, 12-hour shifts, and a reliable vehicle. TWIC and OSHA training are a plus; background checks required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of centrifuge operating experience with 2 phase and 3 phase decanter knowledge.
• Willingness to travel and work at remote project sites, including 12-hour shifts and overtime.
• Military industrial/mechanical experience is a plus.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, reliability and positive attitude.
• Comfortable in industrial settings, indoors/outdoors, with lifting up to 50 lbs.
• TWIC card and 40 Hour OSHA are a plus.
• Must pass pre-employment background checks (physical/drug/MVR/criminal).

Responsibilities

• Assist client site operations on industrial and dewatering tasks.
• Receive direction from on-site supervisor, communicate effectively, and handle challenges.
• Monitor centrifuge feed capacities and condition feed stock with polymer/additives.
• Operate equipment such as positive displacement pumps and polymer blending systems.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure safety and performance.
• Operate light and heavy equipment (skid steers, forklifts, pressure washers).
• Follow all safety practices and procedures at all times.
• Maintain accurate expenses and timesheets.
• Represent Handex professionally and collaborate with teammates.

If your answer is yes, then let's talk. Handex is gearing up for a new project and we are seeking Field Centrifuge Operators .

As a Centrifuge Operator, you will assist with Industrial projects in dewatering and processing operations at our various client sites. Once our project is completed, you may have opportunities to support various client projects in the North/Southeast and Midwest regions.

Handex Consulting & Remediation, LLC is a full-service environmental company focused on providing professional environmental consulting, remediation, construction and sludge dewatering services in the United States. What will be my responsibilities?

• As part of our HIS team, you will be assigned to our client site and assist with industrial and dewatering/sludge removal.
• Receive work direction from the on-site supervisor or PM, follow instructions carefully, maintain open and effective communication to ensure smooth and efficient operations, and proactively handle any challenges.
• Monitor and operate maximum centrifuge feed capacities, including conditioning centrifuge feed stock through polymer injection and the use of various chemical additives.
• Operate special equipment, such as positive displacement pumps and polymer blending systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment used for each project to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Operate light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, pressure washers and mechanical tools.
• Learn, understand, and comply with all safety work practices, policies, and procedures always.
• Accurately maintain and promptly process expenses and timesheets.
• Consistently represent Handex in a professional manner while assigned to projects, collaborating effectively with teammates, and maintaining respectful and positive working relationships with the team.

Skills needed for success:

• High school diploma/GED.
• 2+ years of centrifuge operating experience along with intricate knowledge of 2 phase and 3 phase decanter centrifuge operations.
• Willingness to travel and work effectively at remote project sites, including 12-hour shifts along with flexible rotational schedules, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Military industrial/mechanical experience a plus.
• Excellent team players with good communication skills, reliability, and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Comfortable being in an industrial/refinery setting both indoors and outside as well as confined spaces and able to lift 50 lbs.
• TWIC card and 40 Hour OSHA is a plus.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and a drivers license in good standing. Real ID or a vaild passport too.
• Must pass pre-employment background checks which include physical/drug/alcohol/MVR/criminal.

Salary Range:

$25.00 to $35.00/HR plus OT
