Job summary

Handex Consulting & Remediation, LLC in Macon, GA seeks a Field Centrifuge Operator to support industrial dewatering and processing projects. You will operate centrifuges, monitor feed rates, inject polymers, and manage related equipment on-site with safety as a priority.

Travel to remote project sites across regions is required, with 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime. A high school diploma and 2+ years centrifuge experience are required, plus a valid driver's license and reliable

Qualifications

• 2+ years of centrifuge operating experience with 2- and 3-phase decanter centrifuges.
• Willingness to travel and work at remote project sites with 12-hour shifts and rotating schedules.
• Must pass pre-employment background checks (physical/drug/alcohol/MVR/CRIMINAL).
• Reliable vehicle with valid driver's license; Real ID or valid passport also.

Responsibilities

• As part of our HIS team, you will be assigned to our client site in Macon GA and assist with industrial and dewatering/sludge removal.
• Receive work direction from the on-site supervisor or PM, follow instructions carefully, maintain open and effective communication to ensure smooth and efficient operations, and proactively handle any challenges.
• Monitor and operate maximum centrifuge feed capacities, including conditioning centrifuge feed stock through polymer injection and the use of various chemical additives.
• Operate special equipment, such as positive displacement pumps and polymer blending systems. Perform routine maintenance on equipment used for each project to ensure optimal performance and safety. Operate light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, pressure washers and mechanical tools.
• Learn, understand, and comply with all safety work practices, policies, and procedures always.
• Accurately maintain and promptly process expenses and timesheets.
• Consistently represent Handex in a professional manner while assigned to projects, collaborating effectively with teammates, and maintaining respectful and positive working relationships with the team.

If your answer is yes, then let's talk. Handex is gearing up for a new project and we are seeking Field Centrifuge Operators in Macon GA.

As a Centrifuge Operator, you will assist with Industrial projects in dewatering and processing operations. Once our project is completed, you may have opportunities to support various client projects in the North/Southeast and Midwest regions.

What will be my responsibilities?

Skills needed for success:

• High school diploma/GED.
• 2+ years of centrifuge operating experience along with intricate knowledge of 2 phase and 3 phase decanter centrifuge operations.
• Willingness to travel and work effectively at remote project sites, including 12-hour shifts along with flexible rotational schedules, including nights, weekends, and overtime. Start date is August 24,2026.
• Military industrial/mechanical experience a plus.
• Excellent team players with good communication skills, reliability, and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Comfortable being in an industrial/refinery setting both indoors and outside as well as confined spaces and able to lift 50 lbs.
• TWIC card and 40 Hour OSHA is a plus.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and a drivers license in good standing. Real ID or a vaild passport too.
• Must pass pre-employment background checks which include physical/drug/alcohol/MVR/criminal.

$25.00 to $35.00/HRplus OT
