Responsibilities

• Performs manual work following defined instructions to contribute to production goals.
• Uses hand tools to apply wear resistant materials like rubber, ceramic tile, stone hard and ceramic bead to equipment in mining/mineral industry.
• Identifies lining materials and uses safe rigging, overhead crane practices, and proper PPE.
• Operates a saw to cut ceramic tiles, carbide tungsten and rubber; mixes and applies adhesive compounds.
• Maintains safety procedures and, when needed, participates in cross training in other areas.

Uses a variety of hand tools to prepare and apply Wear Resistant Materials such as rubber, ceramic tile, stone hard and ceramic bead to equipment and components related to the mineral and mining industry* Identify different types of lining materials* Use safe rigging and overhead crane practice’s on various heavy metal shapes* Safe practices for hand grinding* Safe operation of Fork-Lift* Operate a saw to cut ceramic tiles, carbide tungsten and rubber* Mix and apply compounds used as adhesives* Apply various lining materials to various products as per blue prints and client specifications* Maintains safe operations by adhering to FLSmidth safety procedures and regulations.* As part of job enrichment, and at the company’s discretion, cross training in other areas will be given**Physical Demands**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
