Summary
The Centralized Servicing Representative I is responsible for providing support to branch and centralized operations, handling a variety of functions.
Responsibilities
- Operate the company’s Customer Service Toll‑Free line; handle inquiries and concerns, ask for clarification to resolve customer questions promptly and accurately, or transfer callers to appropriate parties for assistance.
- Pick up mail daily for the facility; sort and distribute among various departments.
- Enter all customer complaints and credit disputes received via telephone, email, or mail using complaint‑management software.
- Process all returned mail, returned check letters, credit verification letters, or any other correspondence received.
- Handle processing of paid‑out contracts and release liens in a timely manner, according to state law and company guidelines.
- Efficiently and accurately handle system‑related “help desk” tickets.
- Accurately post all centralized payment handling, including mail, electronic, repo payments, bankrupt trustee payments, and garnishment payments.
- Prepare daily banking deposits, balance cash drawers each day, maintain a cash‑count record, and perform other cashier‑related duties.
- Process charge‑off transactions on all 180‑day delinquent accounts.
- Process modification requests.
- Manage risk relative to position.
- Perform all other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- 0–2 years of consumer finance or related experience.
- Detail‑oriented and able to multi‑task.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word applications.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Use of personal vehicle may be required for mail collection and bank deposits made at off‑site locations; mileage is reimbursed for these activities.
- May require lifting of materials up to 15 lbs.
