Job summary

Planters Bank & Trust Company seeks an experienced loan processing assistant to promote and maintain positive relations with contacts in loan processing. You will receive and verify loan applications, enter data, and coordinate remote print files to various offices.

Programming experience with LaserPro or similar systems is preferred, as is familiarity with Decision Pro Loan and strong PC skills (Word/Excel). Travel for training will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of banking experience; knowledge of banking regulations preferred.
• Experience with LaserPro and Decision Pro Loan Program or ability to learn a new loan program.
• Two years loan data entry and analysis experience preferred.
• Proficient computer skills including Word and Excel; typing and 10-key calculator.
• Good verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
• Good time management and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain positive relations with all contacts in processing the bank's loans.
• Receive and verify information on loan applications and data entry.
• Remote print files to respective offices; assist with loan processing tasks.

Primary Job Description

To promote and maintain positive relations with all contacts in the processing of the banks loans; receive and verify information on loan applications, data entry using the LaserPro software, remote print files to their respective offices.

Location

The location for this position is flexible with the following location options: Monroe, Indianola, Clarksdale, and Southaven. This position will require travel for training.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or College preferred or a a combination of education and experience.
• Two years of banking experience with knowledge of banking, federal and state regulatory requirements preferred.
• Experience with LaserPro and Decision Pro Loan Program or ability to learn a new loan program.
• Two years loan data entry and analysis experience preferred.
• Typing, 10-key Calculator, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Proficient Computer skills required including Word and Excel programs.
• Good verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
• Good time management and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and multi- task.
• Satisfactory Credit Bureau and Background Report.
