Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Central Utility Plant Operator (CUP) for a client site in the Greater St. Louis area.

The role focuses on operating and maintaining the Central Utility Plant at a large pharmaceutical facility, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include monitoring BAS, performing water treatment analysis, and coordinating with subcontractors while handling logs and reports for the chief engineer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Five years of experience as an industrial HVAC or industrial mechanical maintenance technician, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, various shifts, weekends, and alternative schedules.
• Must be a United States citizen or Permanent resident.
• This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

Responsibilities

• The operations and maintenance of the Central Utility Plant equipment and its systems for a large pharmaceutical facility.
• Monitoring building automation systems to ensure proper, safe, and efficient operation of equipment.
• Identifying and correcting problems with boilers, chillers, pumps, air compressors, water systems, and cooling towers.
• Taking daily equipment logs and submitting reports to the chief engineer, meeting regulatory requirements.
• Identifying problems and creating work orders for equipment; coordinating subcontractor activities.
