Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Materials Handler to conduct physical inventory, enter data in the MM System, pick tickets, and stock supplies across patient care areas and warehouses at Swedish First Hill in Seattle.

The role requires 1 year in a supply chain environment using MMIS, plus preferred forklift certification and healthcare experience; strong teamwork and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent experience (within the past 5 years) working in a Supply Chain environment utilizing a computerized Materials Management Information System
• Experience in a healthcare environment
• Experience with material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jack, etc.)
• Coursework/Training: Inventory and supply distribution management courses

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical inventory of supply areas and uses the MM System to enter data and generate pick tickets
• Accurately picks items listed on pick tickets and delivers/stocks materials to various supply areas
• Rotates stock on par levels for items without expiration dates and uses earliest expiration date logic for items with dates
• Interacts with internal and external customers, including other Swedish employees, patients, visitors, and vendors

Rotates stock in MSC Inventories, FH ED or Issaquah Campus and on par levels on a first-in/first-out basis for all items that do not have manufacture expiration dates printed on the item and/or packaging. Rotates stock in MSC Inventory and on par levels on an earliest expiration date first-out basis for all items that do have manufacture expiration dates printed on the item and/or packaging. This position has regular interactions with internal and external customers, including co-workers, other Swedish employees, patients and visitors, representatives from other hospitals and various vendors.
