Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Support Specialist to conduct physical inventories, utilize the MM System to generate pick tickets, and ensure accurate stocking across patient care areas.

Responsibilities include delivering materials, rotating stock by FIFO or FEFO rules, and collaborating with hospital staff and vendors to maintain optimal inventory levels. Forklift certification is preferred upon hire, with healthcare experience a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent experience (within the past 5 years) working in a Supply Chain environment utilizing a computerized Materials Management Information System.
• Forklift certification upon hire (preferred).
• Experience in a healthcare environment (preferred).
• Experience with material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jack, etc.) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical inventory of supply areas and enters data in MM System to generate pick tickets.
• Accurately picks items listed on pick tickets and delivers/stock materials to supply areas.
• Rotates stock on a first-in/first-out basis for items without expiration dates; rotates on earliest expiration date first-out for dated items.
• Interacts with internal/external customers, Swedish employees, patients, visitors, vendors and hospital staff.
• Maintains efficient stocking from warehouse to clean distribution areas and partners with team to ensure accurate inventory levels.

Conducts physical inventory of supply areas, such as patient care and ancillary areas. Utilizes the MM (Material Management) System to enter data and generate pick tickets. Accurately picks items listed on pick tickets. Responsible for delivery and stocking of materials to the various supply areas. Stocks materials from warehouse to clean distribution areas. Rotates stock in MSC Inventories, FH ED or Issaquah Campus and on par levels on a first-in/first-out basis for all items that do not have manufacture expiration dates printed on the item and/or packaging. Rotates stock in MSC Inventory and on par levels on an earliest expiration date first-out basis for all items that do have manufacture expiration dates printed on the item and/or packaging. This position has regular interactions with internal and external customers, including co-workers, other Swedish employees, patients and visitors, representatives from other hospitals and various vendors.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $30.62 - $42.65
