Job summary

Ephrata Manor, part of United Church of Christ Homes, is accepting applications for a Full-Time Central Supply Aide (M-F, 7:00am-3:00pm) to support resident care with 37.5 hours/week.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, stocking for nursing units, coordinating maintenance checks on medical equipment, and preparing records. A competitive benefits package is available, with insurance eligibility beginning after 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
• Must communicate respectfully with staff, residents, families, visitors, and the public.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and move heavier items with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory and par levels for resident care supplies.
• Order supplies from specified vendors and stock in an orderly manner.
• Provide supplies to nursing units using proper equipment and safe handling procedures.
• Coordinate annual preventive maintenance checks for medical equipment (bladders, cuffs, thermometers, etc.).
• Clean and maintain supplies and equipment; dispose of or return defective items.
• Prepare records on inventory, price lists, shortages, shipments and expenditures.
• Procure SDSs for chemicals and respond to communications; represent the organization professionally.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and intradepartmental staff.

Job description

Ephrata Manor is currently accepting applications for a Full-Time 7:00am-3:00pm Central Supply Aide (M-F) to work 37.5 hours per week supporting the needs of the community.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain an inventory and par levels of supplies needed for resident care;
• Order supplies with specified suppliers and stock in orderly manner using appropriate labels and following established protocols;
• Provide supplies to nursing unites utilizing proper equipment and with safe handling procedures;
• Coordinate annual preventative maintenance checks for all medical equipment including bladder scanners, blood pressure cuffs, thermometers, etc.;
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, and equipment disposing of defective items or returning items to vendors according to policies;
• Locate suppliers, as needed, and request quotes as directed;
• Prepare records and reports of inventory, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued;
• Procure SDSs for chemicals coming through Central Supply;
• Respond timely to all communications and represent the organization in a positive manner; and,
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport as a member of the interdisciplinary team, as well as with intradepartmental staff.

Requirements:

• High school diploma required
• CNA Certification preferred
• Must possess proficiency with Microsoft Office with a strong understanding of Excel
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully and respectfully with staff, residents, families, visitors, and the general public;
• Mus have exceptional communication and organizational skills;
• Must be able to work well independently, as well as with a team;
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to carry such weight a minimum distance of 25 feet; and,
• Using a mechanical device, must regularly be able to push, pull, or move weight in excess of 100 pounds a distance of 300 feet.
