Job description

Job Description

The Central Store Clerk will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized area, and assisting with inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and outgoing personality, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Shift: Monday - Thursday 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM. You may need to work on Fridays based on company needs.

Qualifications:

  • Good attendance record and positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • Valid driver’s license for pick-up or delivery of parts.
  • Flexibility to cover all shifts, including weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks at heights.
  • Comfortable using small hand tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide service to customers via phone, email, texts, IMs, and in person.
  2. Assist employees with transactions at the store window.
  3. Create requisitions within D7i.
  4. Contact vendors regarding parts pricing, availability, delivery, and repair status.
  5. Assist with inventory accuracy across all store locations.
  6. Enter vendor-managed orders into Oracle.
  7. Assist with non-stock or specialty purchases.
  8. Support maintenance planning by building parts kits and maintaining repair applications.
  9. Identify and support continuous improvement and cost savings.
  10. Support training in Oracle and SOPs for maintenance personnel.
  11. Complete special projects as assigned.
  12. Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with good communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills; familiarity with Oracle, D7i, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
  • Understanding of maintenance parts and uses is preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
