Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to join our nights shift in a busy hospital setting.

You will decontaminate, prepare, and sterilize trays and instruments, manage inventory, and support patient care by ensuring sterile supplies are ready. The role requires a high school diploma, at least two years CST experience, and BLS certification; Central Supply certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certification preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, preparation, and sterilization of Central Sterile trays, instruments, and equipment.
• Inventory management and restocking of supplies.
• Data entry and patient charge card batching; access to department locations.
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication; knowledge of patient supplies and equipment.
