Job summary

Trios Health is seeking an Environmental Sterile Technician to join our team. The role focuses on inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments in accordance with established processing guidelines and safety standards.

You will operate equipment, document sterility indicators, and support multiple departments with patient-centered service while maintaining compliance with OSHA, AAMI, AORN, and TJC requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• CSR certification within 6 months of hire; BLS within 30 days of hire; critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize instruments and equipment per processing guidelines (AAMI, AORN, TJC, OSHA).
• Operate departmental equipment daily per manufacturer instructions with safety emphasis.
• Provide customer service to all departments with focus on patient needs.
• Process and document sterile supplies and equipment daily using indicators to verify sterility per hospital policy.
• Monitor antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing per manufacturer instructions and documentation.

How you'll contribute

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Essential Functions Provides inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements.
• Operates departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety.
• Provides customer service to all departments with a focus on the patient need.
• Processes and documents all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical, biological and mechanical indicators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.
• Monitors and performs antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation daily.

What we're looking for

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• License: Central Sterile Technician (CSR) certification within 6 months of hire
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. Required Skills Central Sterile Technician (CSR) certification within 6 months of hire Requires critical thinking skills, judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Hourly range: $17.81-$27.00
