Job summary

Stillwater Medical Center is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to process instruments, supplies, and trays for the hospital and its clinics. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role supports the OR and sterile processing operations.

Ideal candidates are precise, with attention to detail, and able to work Monday–Friday, 3–11pm. Certification in sterile processing preferred, CRCST within one year, and ability to handle on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Sterile Processing program preferred.
• Must obtain CRCST within one year of hire.
• Must be able to respond to SMC within 30 minutes when on call.
• Able to take emergency call 3pm to 7am weekdays and 24-hour call on weekends on rotating schedule, as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to function in stressful situations.

Full-time, 40-hours per week,

Monday through Friday, 3-11pm

We are looking for a Central Sterile Technicianwho is ready to plant roots and grow in our Central Sterile Unit.

JOB SUMMARY:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking and standing.
• Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read and write.
• Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk and converse with others in person and over the phone.
• Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care.
• Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Possesses fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.: finger stick blood sugars, vital signs, feed patients, and handle instruments).
